Dorthy Rose Brown was born in Meridian, Mississippi on May 26, 1945, to Elbert and Georgia Bee Donald. She departed this life on March 15, 2016.

She was baptized at an early age at Morris Brown Church.
She received her education in the Philadelphia school system graduating from Simon Gratz High School.

She worked at B & J Cleaning Company for many years. She also worked for Imperial Towers for many years as a security guard where they loved her & her jokes.

She met and married Francis Brown. To this union one child was born.

She had several hobbies which included: creating lamp covers out of a skirt & making a shirt out of a skirt, playing pinochle, connect four, volleyball, softball, basketball & jacks (she loved jacks). She also enjoyed skating, bike riding and she also loved her dog Sid.

She was preceded in death by her Father (Elbert Donald), Mother (Georgia Bee Donald), Daughter (Beverly Ann Brown), Brother (L.B. Donald, Uncle (Frank Johnson) & Sister in-law (Trudy Donald)

She leaves to cherish many, many, many memories:
2 Sons: Joseph Jackson & James Flantroy
2 Daughter: Chimika Flantroy & Tamecka Jackson
1 Sister: Georgia Mae Downes
5 Grandchildren: LB'George Rivers I, Quadre Rivers, Christian Moore-Jackson, Tyrell Moore-Jackson & Jesse Moore-Jackson

Special Friends: Ruth (Sissy) Hall, Arlene Mitchell, Exlee Evans, Ann Parker & Shirley Anderson

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends
