Annie Morgan

Annie Lee Morgan was born on February 20, 1930 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Edward Garrick and Annie Doughty. She departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Annie received her formal education in Wilmington, North Carolina. She left North Carolina at an early age and moved to Philadelphia, PA. She went to nursing school and became a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Joseph Hospital for 28 years.

Annie was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Herbert H. Morgan, Sr. on May 28, 1972. Herbert preceded Annie in death.

Annie had one son John Bosier (Ruth) of Philadelphia, PA; three step sons Felton Newkirk (Francis) of Beaumont, Texas, Herbert Morgan, Jr. (Dora) of San Antonio, Texas; and Alfred Morgan (Sharon) of Castle Hayne, NC and one step daughter Daisy L. Morgan of Philadelphia, PA.

She came to know the Lord, Jesus Christ and accepted Him as her personal Savior at an early age. In her later years, she became a member of Word of Truth Deliverance Ministries. She attended service until she was unable to.

Annie was the Matriarch of her family, her love and dedication was priceless. Annie went above and beyond for her family, her life and legacy will live on in her family.

Annie was preceded in death by: her son (John H. Bosier), daughter-in-law (Ruth Y. Bosier), step-son Felton Newkirk of Beaumont, Texas, one brother (Harry Wilson), sister-in-law (Doris Wilson).

She leaves to mourn with cherished memories her grandchildren: Veronica Bosier, John S. Bosier, Eric Perry and Michelle Durham (William); nine great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren and; nieces, nephews and host of extended family and friends.

Annie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, great-great grandmother. We thank God for the time he gave her to us. We will miss her very deeply.
