Anthony Lee Scott was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 10th 1965 to the late Linda May Scott. Anthony was the quiet, shy child with the big glasses. Anthony grew up in West Philadelphia, attending Philadelphia Public Schools: Henston Elementary, Shoemaker and Overbrook High School. Anthony loved dancing, boxing and playing his favorite sport “basketball”.
Anthony was a music box himself, he loved all types of music, country, rock, rap and blues. Whatever the beat, Anthony moved his feet. As a young boy, Anthony landed his first job as a “busboy” and at that time is when he found his love for cooking. Cooking was his passion. If he thought you were making something “wrong” he didn’t mind showing you what was “right” . Anthony was very tidy & loved to stay “FRESH” head to toe.
Anthony was the fourth of five children including Selena, Paul, Troy & Judith. Growing up, they spent a lot of time together. On the weekends they would go to the movie theater every Sunday was Anthony’s favorite(why?) because at the movies, he could ”stay fresh” and “look good for the girls” and every Saturday was skate night at Elmwood skating rink.
Anthony fathered five children: Maurice, Anthony Jr, Erica, Annette & Imani. Anthony was a great “Pop Pop” to ten grandchildren: James, Tahmir, Desmond, Allure,Zuri, Jassan, Jahmir, Hayaat, Acire and Jayda.
Anthony was a loving, kind, hard working man who enjoyed family relaxing & laughing. Yet! If he needed to get with you, he would - but if you know him you know its never goodbye, always see you later. If you got on his good side its “fuck you, but love you”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Maurice and three of his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Anthony Jr, Erica, Annette & Imani grandchildren: James, Tahmir, Desmond, Allure,Zuri, Jassan, Jahmir, Hayaat, Acire and Jayda, siblings: Selena, Paul, Troy & Judith, only Aunt Brenda, best friend Bruce Brown of 42 years (his oldest friend in the world) and host of other relatives & friends.
