Ariel Shockley

Ariel Daneen Shockley, affectionately known as ‘Dooby’, was born on October 18, 1985 to Yvonne Ella (Bowe) Shockley and Dale Cornelius Shockley in Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford DE.

Ariel had a sweet, cheerful, humble, authentic spirit. She loved music, art, and family time. She will be remembered for her warm heart and infectious smile.

Ariel attended several school districts in Delaware. Her first job was with A&W in Dover, DE. She also worked at Hardees.

Ariel’s most precious accomplishment was her son, Adon Amour Bowe, born October 4, 2013. Through all the challenges she encountered, Adon was always close to heart. She loved him dearly.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jessie L. Bowe; maternal grandfather, Riddick T. Bowe; paternal grandmother Ella Shockley; and paternal grandfather, Neal Tisdale.

She leaves to mourn her passing a son, Adon Amour Bowe; one sister, Dalneisha Shockley, Milton, DE; three brothers. Dale Shockley, Dover, DE; Dashon James, Milford, DE; Tykwon James, Felton, DE; a stepfather, Leroy McPherson, Lincoln, DE; one aunt, Joan Haynesworth, Waldorf, MD; seven uncles, Theodis Bowe (Lena), Lincoln, DE; Joseph Bowe (Donna), Bowie, MD; Everett Bowe (Paulette), Dover, DE; Larry Bowe (Felicia), Lincoln, DE; Lynwood Bowe (Janet), Felton, DE; Louellis Bowe (Marilyn), Dover, DE; Jacques Bowe (Brenda), Lincoln, DE.; one great-aunt; six great-uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
