Boris Henry Stallings was born Feb 21st, 1953, to the late Mary and Joseph Allen Stallings in Philadelphia, PA. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System. Boris accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Although Boris didn’t have any children, he cherished his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Boris excelled in his mechanical skills. One of his greatest traits was his dependability. Boris helped a multitude of family and friends as he repaired whatever was wrong with their cars and houses. He was a man of his word. He was truly a jack of all trades in every sense of the word.
He worked for the YMCA for a long time at 11thand Leigh Avenue. He also worked for The Regent Box Company and Wackenhut Security. In 1967/68, Boris was a member of a vocal group called “ The Lintones.” The group consisted of himself, Alex Crawford, Tony Wilson, Bashir Khallis (Cornell Beatty), and Russ Gore, Jr., and sometimes the Dynamic Miss Adrianne
Taggert.
Because he was one of the longest residing residents of the 2700 Block of Marvine Street, he was considered to be the Mayor.
His brothers, Joe Stallings, Jr., Thomas Earl Stallings, his sisters, Doretha Stallings, Helena Sheed, and Joan Stallings all proceeded him in death.
He leaves to mourn nephews, Robert Carl Stallings (Irene), Robert F. Hankins, Joseph Allen Stallings 3rd (Jean), George Frederick Stallings (Jackie) and friends.
Sorrowfully Submitted,
