Curtis George, Sr.

CURTIS LARCEY GEORGE, SR. was born December 24, 1935, in Whiteville, North Carolina. The son of the late Larcey George and Lillian Gertrude George. He departed this life on February 24, 2019.

Curtis was baptized at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church in North Carolina. He received his education from Mount Olive High School.

Curtis met and married Sutalia Littlejohn. To this union, three children were born: Curtis, Jr., Wanda, and Bernadette.

Curtis loved to garden and frequently shared his harvest with neighbors and friends. He also had a love for cars and looked forward to attending the annual car shows. He loved attending sports events to cheer on his grandchildren.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Larcey and Gertrude George, his two brothers; Charles George and Morris George.

Curtis leaves to cherish his wife Sutalia George, his son, Curtis L. George, Jr. of Oklahoma, two daughters: Wanda George-McBride (Jeffrey) of Maryland, Bernadette Goodman (Christopher) of Philadelphia. Seven grandchildren: Christopher, Cory, India, Devon, Andrea, DaVita, Karys, an aunt, Lizzie Nichols of North Carolina, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
