Dolores Marie “Dee” Whaley, 56, was born on January 16, 1964. She was the daughter of the late Martha Triplett and Jesse Whaley. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Bayhealth Hospital.
Dolores attended school in the Indian River School District. She went on to work as a housekeeper at several hotels in Ocean City, MD.
Dolores loved getting her hair done and every style had to include blonde. She enjoyed watching tv and playing cards. She also liked dancing, shopping and talking trash to any and everybody. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family. She looked after her nieces and nephews (Angelica, Starmaine, Jaleel, and Jabari) as her own.
Dolores was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Triplett; her father, Jesse Thomas Whaley; 12 uncles and eight aunts; and a Special Friend, Kenneth Reed.
Dolores leaves to mourn : two sisters, Jeannette Nock of Lincoln, Jessica Fooks of Salisbury; five brothers, Marvin (Barbara) Handy of Millsboro, Rudolph Collins of Georgetown, Frank Triplett of Wilmington, Albert Triplett of Wilmington, and Delron Triplett of Wilmington; stepmother, Mildred Whaley of Ocean City; three stepbrothers, Anthony Walker of Wilmington, Tony Harmon of Millsboro, and Richard Harmon of Pocomoke; three uncles, William (Catherine) Whaley of Berlin, Preston (Glendola) Whaley of Berlin, and Charles Collins of Salisbury; 22 nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
