Doreen Powell

Doreen Powell was born in Philadelphia on January 6, 1958 to Shirley D. Powell and Thomas Shackleford

who preceded her in death She attended the public School in Philadelphia and graduated from Simon

Gratz High School in 1975, Doreen was a lovable person she held down numerous jobs throughout her

life (she found her way) to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she worked for seven years in

environmental services.

Doreen Loved the Lord she accepted Jesus Christ in 2013 and joined Foster Memorial Baptist Church.

Doreen enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing and working she was a family and people oriented person

who loved her family and would help anyone.

Doreen is survived by her daughter Tanisha Nicole Powell, her Grand Daughter Maleya Nicole Powell,

two sisters Celestine Powell and Charnel Brownlee two Brothers Tyrone Powell and Derrick Powell one

Brother-in-law Jerome Brownlee Sr.one sister-in-law LaTannia Powell and long time companion Wayne

Garnet a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
