Geraldine Shoffner

Geraldine Shoffner was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 31, 1951 to Fredrick Jones and the late Anna J. Sanders. God picked one of his rarest flowers, our loving mother. He came to take her home on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital.

Geraldine was baptized at an early age at Nazareth Baptist Church.
She attended the Philadelphia Public School system graduating from Kensington High School.

Geraldine worked for Atlantic Insurance and the Philadelphia School District where she retired from.

She married her childhood sweetheart Ulysees L. Shoffner Junior on June 10, 1974. To this union four children were born Erica, Kevin, Kimberly and Ulysees III.

Geraldine was affectionately known as" Peaches or Gerri" to her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ulysees and sons Kevin and Ulysees III.

Geraldine loved her children and was always there for them and given the fact that of the passing of her two sons at an early age she continued to be strong and support her family. She was a great example of an exceptional mother and a strong woman. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren which she often referred to them as "her little Boop Boos". She loved her two sisters Estelle Cummings -Branch and the late Clarice Johnson. She was a kind and loving person and over the years she has made many good friends as she would always speak to people and strike up conversations where ever she went.

She leaves to mourn, her daughters, Erica Shoffner, Kimberley Shoffner-Bowen; five grandchildren Ahmod, Kimberly, Layla, Brandon and Dilan; two great grandchildren Ayla and Ashiah; sister Estelle Cummings-Branch; sister in laws Linda Sims, Wanda Cobb, Deborah Porter; brother in law Tyrome Shoffner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends.
