Jacob Carvel Ellison affectionately known as “Big Jake” was born to the Late Margaret Helen Lyde Ellison and Jacob James Ellison on December 23, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pa. On the 25th day of May 2020 the Lord returned to claim which he had allowed us to borrow. Blessed Be the will of GOD. He joins his siblings that proceeded him in death (Bernestine Hill, Tetrizine Brown and Robert P. Ellison).
Jacob attended The Philadelphia Public School System in which he enjoyed Mechanical drawing. After completing his education, he later was employed by Campbell Soup Co. located in Camden, New Jersey. After years of service Jacob began employment at Tuffy’s Cardboard Co of Philadelphia, Pa until his health began to decline.
Jacob loved the Lord although he didn’t belong to any church home. He enjoyed the information and was always open to accept prayer at any time. He was very comical, witty and had an awesome personality. Oh, could he make you laugh. Jacob was awesome with his hands and could have Boxed Professionally. In his early years he loved to dance, cook and have a good time. As much as he loved to cook, he enjoyed eating as well. One of his favorite slogans was “Put it in There”.
Jacob will graciously and deeply be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, father Jacob Ellison Sr., Stepmother Muriel Ellison of Sicklerville NJ, 2 brothers Benjamin Ellison and Mailon Ellison, 2 sisters Karen Alston and Darlene Ellison-Williams ,2 Brother in laws, 2 Sister in laws and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, step siblings and friends.
