James Worsley

James Worsley was born in Halifax, North Carolina on September 10, 1940 to the late Grant Worsley and Gertrude Dancy, where he also grew up on a farm with many siblings. He was affectionately known as "Jimmy Mack" and "Moe" to his family members and friends.

He received his education in the Halifax County School System, and as a young man, James relocated to Philadelphia, PA where he met and married Juanita Reid. To this union, three children were born: Egbert (Ebby), Denise, and Donnell. For many years, he worked hard as a sales manager for Korvette's and as a construction worker. James enjoyed the company of family and friends as well as regular outings with them, building and fixing things, listening to oldies, and taking trips to Atlantic City.

On Friday, January 25, 2019, James departed this life. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita and leaves to mourn his three children: Egbert (Ebby), Denise and son-in-law Derrick, and Donnell and daughter-in-law Balkas; seven grandchildren: Donetta, Nathaniel, Tyneisha, Andrew, Christopher, Aniyah, and Zaire; four great-grandchildren: Rasheen, Rashon, Love, and Niarah; one sister, Victoria (Bay) Williams, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
