Jeanette Ann Montgomery-Lyles
was born to Queen Esther Montgomery and Cleveland B. Montgomery on February 6, 1952 in Columbia, S.C. At age 4, Jeanette was brought to Philadelphia, PA by her grandmother Winnie Jacobs in 1956.
Jeanette
was well known throughout the neighborhood. She was known as a family care giver. She babysat all the neighborhood children, help raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was educated in the Philadelphia School District. Later in life, she married the late James Lyles, who proceeded her in death. Their union produced a daughter, Patricia Ann Lyles.
Jeanette
is also proceeded in death by her daughter Nettina Jeter, son Ronald Montgomery, sisters Eloise and Ezelma, and brother Rufus.
She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter Patricia; sister Gilda; brother Gordon; son-in-law Kenneth Jeter; daughter-in-law Valerie Montgomery; Godson Eric Harvey; 13 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins, and friends
