Jo Woods

On August 26, 1941, in Wilson, North Carolina, Jo Ann Woods entered the world as the seventh child of 12 children born to Doretta Davis and Staton Davis. She passed away January 7, 2022, in Philadelphia, PA.

Jo attended Wilson County School District, graduating from Darden High School class of 1959.
She later moved to Philadelphia, PA with her husband and 2 children in October of 1965.

"Jo," as she was affectionately called, enjoyed playing card games with her friends and family, listening and dancing to her "Oldies" on Sunday, and socializing with neighbors each day. She also took great pleasure in taking care and cooking for her family.

Jo was preceded in death by: Staton Davis - father, Doretta Davis - mother, siblings- Lorena, SudieMae, Staton and Richard, her son Boris and her loving husband-Benjamin Woods.

Jo leaves to forever cherish her memories her children Kelsa, Angela, and Lamont; her grandchildren Charles, Efrain and Myles, siblings Leonard, David, Carl, Daniel, Charles, Ashley and Doretta, great-grandchildren Leila, Nuh (Noah), and Yara; a host of nieces and nephews.
