Larry Jones

Larry Donnell Jones was born in Whitakers, North Carolina to two wonderful parents. He departed this life on Sunday, August 20, 2018.

Larry received his education from the Whitakers School System.

Larry proudly serves in the United States Marines, receiving a Honorable Discharge for his service.

After serving as a Marine, Larry came to Philadelphia and lived with his Aunt Mary. He worked as a welder for many years.

Larry truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing chess with Mr. George, talking with friends, and always helping anyone in need. Larry was always willing to help anyone in need.

Larry lived with Gwendolyn Jacques for several years.

Larry was preceded in death by: Four brothers, Three sisters, Gwendolyn Jacques, Aunt Mary, Mr, George, and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved. He leaves to cherish his memories his Common Law Spouse, Gwendolyn Jacques and a host of aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
