Mark Washington

Mark Anthony Washington, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born to William Lloyd Washington and Zella Renee Washington on June 14th, 1963. From a young age Mark was very academic, athletic, and passionate about sports with dreams of playing in the NBA.

He attended the Community College of Philadelphia, excelling in his studies and in athletics. He later continued his studies and sports career at Morgan State University in Maryland. In addition to his talents on the court, Mark also served his country with honor as a member of the military.

Later in his life, Mark was met with illness which was a challenge he faced with courage and the steadfast support of his family. His niece, Renee, and her husband, Harold, provided care and compassion that gave Mark comfort and stability. Their unwavering love was a testament to the bond they shared.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael. Mark's legacy lives on in the hearts of his sister, Michele, his brothers, Lynn and Rodney. He is fondly remembered by his loving nieces Renee (Harold) and Nikki, his nephew RJ, and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
