Mikai Manning

On May 14th 2004, The Lord blessed Michael Manning and Angel Gadsden with a beautiful baby boy whom they named Mikai W. Manning. Born to a Christian home, Mikai learned faith early and regularly attended Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church.

As a little kid Mikai did not like the darkness and feared monsters. His grandmother Ernestine taught him to just call on Jesus whenever he was afraid. Depending on Christ helped Mikai to gain the courage he needed to bravely move through the dark times.

Mikai and his grand mom Lynn enjoyed and loved each other deeply. They would sit and play games for hours. Their favorite game together was the stare game.

Mikai was a delightful and peaceful kid he enjoyed playing his game systems most of all. His favorite games included Dragon Ball Z and Mario Kart, his favorite color was blue and he was a very protective big brother over his sister Amaya. In his free time Mikai also enjoyed playing with his friend Samir. As a young boy Mikai was known to have an old soul. He was laid back and very peaceful and easy going young man.

Mikai attended Thurgood Marshall where he was in the 6th grade. Mikai was well liked by the students and staff there especially his teacher Ms. Davis.

As Mikai has had many hospital stays in his life but on October 17, 2015 God called him home taking away all his pain, medications and suffering.
Matthew 11:28 - Come unto me, all that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Left with cherished memories are, His Mother Angel Gadsden, His Father Michael Manning, his sister Amaya Manning, His grandmothers Ernestine and Lynn, His Great grandmother Miss Davis (Mum Mum), His uncles D 'wayne Thomas and Carey Gadsden and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
