On August 17, 1984, Quinton Leonardo Sivels, Jr. entered the world as the first of thirteen children born to Deacon Quinton (Sr.) and Sister Loretta Sivels. He passed away September 20, 2021.
Quinton grew up in the Pentecostal Church of God of Lincoln where he sang with the Youth Mass Choir and developed many lifelong friendships. He attended Milford School District, graduating from Milford Senior High School in 2002. He worked at various jobs including MidTown Room Rentals until his health began to fail.
Lil' Quint, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a loving father, son, brother, and friend--always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. When he lacked the financial means or physical strength, Quinton was sure to support his family and friends as best as he could. If you were looking for him, chances were you would find him fishing in Milford under the bridge or at one of the other local fishing spots. "I love fishing. It's something that I've been doing since I was a young boy. It's something that I'm glad my dad taught me how to do so that I am able to fish with my little one." In addition to fishing, Lil' Quint enjoyed cutting hair, watching Dallas Cowboys football games, and spending time with his family.
One of Quinton's most cherished accomplishments was fathering his daughter, Saryah, who was his pride and joy with whom he shared a special bond. He often posted on social media just how beautiful Saryah was and how much his babygirl meant to him.
In recent years, Quinton relocated from his hometown of Lincoln, Delaware, to Wichita, Kansas, to help his long-time friend Walter Harper navigate the world without vision. This was a testament to Quinton's loyalty to his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Quinton will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Saryah Davis Sivels of Dover, Delaware; eight sisters: Erica (Derek) Savage of Lincoln, Delaware; Tiffany Sivels of San Diego, California; Jessica Sivels of Milford, Delaware; Destiny Sivels of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Chelsea, Briane, Jada and Taylor Sivels of Lincoln, Delaware; four brothers: Darius Sivels of Odenton, Maryland; Devon Sivels of Fort Worth, Texas; Desmond (Crystal) Sivels of Roanoke, Virginia; and Christian Sivels of Delmar, Delaware; three nieces: Amiyah Jean, Kaydence Mann, and Kamora Sivels; god-sister, Naketa Robinson; dear friend and brother, Walter Harper; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Quinton was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Carolyn Sivels, and maternal grandparents, James and Pearline Stewart.
