Rhonda Sanders

Rhonda Vernice Sanders was born to Ronald Lumpklin and the late Mary Alice Sanders-Wilson on November 19, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rhonda was the oldest of three children born to this union. She departed this life on January 31, 2017

Rhonda was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System and graduated from Edward Bok A.V.T. High School in 1976. Rhonda continued her education at the American Business Institute where she learned bookkeeping and clerical skills. She graduated in 1983.

Rhonda started her working career in the transportation industry as a parking lot attendant. She transitioned into becoming a driver for Metro-American and Victory Cab Companies. She became a Para Transit Driver for American Para Transit Company. Once she left that position, she went into housekeeping/banquet server for All Star Staffing. And finally, she ended her career as a Security Officer for Colonial Security.

Rhonda loved life. She was an outgoing person. She enjoyed visiting family and friends. She loved to read in her quiet times. Rhonda also loved to dance. Whenever she would hear her favorite music, she would break out and do a dance from back in the day! She loved making us laugh and she could tell a story!!

Rhonda was preceded in death by her: mother, Mary Alice Sanders-Wilson; father, Robert Lumpklin and her youngest brother, Robert.

Rhonda leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, Ronald Sanders of Hauula, Hawaii; her favorite nephew, LaRon Sanders; three grandnieces; a companion of many years, Montague McLaurin; a multitude of cousins and a best friend of fifty years, who was like a sister to her, Cassie Karter.
