Richard Stowe

Richard Stowe was born June 8, 1950 in Philadelphia to Yvonne Waterson and Herbert Ralph. He was first born of three children and was preceded in death by his father Herbert Ralph and pop pop Charlie Waterson. Richard departed this life in the early hours of 2-8-2021 at home with his loving wife.

Richard was educated in the Philadelphia Public school System. He graduated from South Philadelphia High school and later continuing his education at Temple University.

Richard married Regina Stowe on August 31, 1991 and from this union a blended family was formed.

Richard loved people and was a diehard Eagles fan. Richard loved bowling, writing poetry and watching movies(especially old westerns). He also had quite a sense of humor and always had advice, support or witty phrases leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even during times when he wasn’t feeling well he would encourage others around him.

Richard joined the US Marine Corp finishing with an Honorable discharge. He then began his working career which expanded from 1976-2019…primarily as Mental Health Professional at Southern Home for Children, Temple University Hospital, Mt. Sanai Hospital, Park view Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital, and finally retiring from North Philadelphia Health System.

Cherishing the memories of his life are, his loving and supportive wife Regina, His mother Yvonne, his children Lateef(Lisa), Angee(Kisha), Christina(James), and Tracey(Council). (Brothers) Chuck, Darryl, Eddie and Herb. (Grandchildren) Tishawn, Naquan, Shanika(Idris), Shakeema(Tyrell), Tae Tae, Lee Lee, Mani, Journee, Rion, Lil Lateef, Cyrus, Saddot, Sydney and Xander. (Great Grandchildren) Aniya, Noah, Kady, Lamyaa and Ahnim. (Nieces) Andrece, Domonique, Brittany and Brianna. (great nephew) Ahmad. (great niece) Ailani.
