“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more
death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the
former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
Our beloved father and grandfather, Robert McCain was born on August 6, 1951,
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Whithers and Delores McCain. He
was the youngest of three children.
Robert was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. He married the
late Jimmie Grace Burrus and from this union five children were born: Tina,
Renee, Michelle, Pamela, and Veronica.
Robert was a member of Friendly Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. J. N.
Lavender until the Lord called him home.
Robert worked for the city of Philadelphia for 30 years. He was a car enthusiast
who was highly interested in building and collecting cars.
He fell in love and married Joyce Ann Bragg on August 10, 2013. During his recent
illness, she was his attentive caregiver.
Robert (fondly called “Bae Bae”) departed this life after being ill and entered into
his eternal rest on Friday, January 18, 2019.
He leaves to mourn: His loving wife, Joyce McCain; His five daughters, Tina
Jackson, Renee McCain, Michelle McCain (Hill), Pamela McCain, and Veronica
McCain; Two step- sons, Lajuan Simon and Travis Hopson. One son-n-law,
