On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, God peacefully and quietly closed the eyes of our beloved REMEMBERING Robert William Rodgers Robert was born to the late Edward and Serilda Rodgers, on April 19th, 1933 in Mc Bee, South Carolina. His parents were sharecroppers and he would work on the farm picking tobacco and milking cows. Robert then decided to move to New York City and try the city life. There he worked as one top seamstress’s in the city. Robert next decided to travel to Philadelphia where he met the love of his life the late Stella Rodger and he married on November 20, 1976. Robert was employed as a manufacturer at the Moon Factory. Then he became the supervisor at the delicious Whitman Chocolate Factory, where he later retired from. He loved his hard candies. Robert often worked in the yard in his free time and when he wasn’t doing that he would watch westerns and Politics preferably Obama. As long as he had his Pepsi, Marlboro, and figs he was comfortable. Robert genuinely loved and cared for everyone he knew and he always had a peaceful spirit. Memories of Robert will be cherished by his 3 children Tia, Lynneice, and Gary. His 2 grandchildren Ebony and Damon. His 7 great grandchildren Tiffany, Daquan, Dalen, Dasear, Azarius , Phineess , and one other and His only great great granddaughter Kehlani. His siblings and a host of family and friends.
