Wallace Green, Jr.

August 13, 1951 — April 26, 2016

Wallace Lloyd Green, affectionally known as Lloyd was born August 13, 1951 in the city

of Philadelphia. He was the oldest son of Leola and Wallace Green, Sr.

He was eduacated in the Philadelphia Public School System and received his diploma from

Thomas Edison High School in June of 1968.

After high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served his country and fought

in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal,

National Defense Service Medal & Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device.

Shorthy after his service in the Marine Corp he gained employment at Frank's Beverage

Company as a Front Line Performer. He also received training certificates as a Utility-
Technician in Air Condition/Refrigeration and Fork�Lift Operation.

Wallace recived Jesus Chrst as his Lord and Savior and as a public profession of his faith

was baptized at Shiloh Apostolic Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He loved the 23

Psalm that he memorized as a small child.

In his earlier years he fathered three sons, Russell, Darius & Justin.

He met Darlene Price in 1979 who later became his wife.

From childhood and throughout his adult life he had a love for cars. If he wasn't working

on them he would raced them down the streets of Philadelphia with his friends. When he

wasn't racing he meticulously assembled model cars. As much as he loved his cars he also

loved to ride his bike and walk his dog Snow.

Wallace was a compassionate soul with a heart of gold. He was one of those special

people who was always willing to help anyone who had a need. His words of

encouragement and deeds of kindness will be remembered and greatly missed.

He leaves to mourn, his wife Darlene, sons Russell, Darius, Justin, sisters, Cynthia &

Sharon, brother inlaws, sister inlaws, cousins Weeda, Gloria,Man, Shelly and a host nieces

& nephews, and other cousins and friends.
